So I was going through kinda new releases when I noticed something new (at least to me) on the Beyond label by the illustrious David Toop entitled 'Buried Dreams.' Has anyone heard this LP? I'm more familiar with Toop as the writer of an excellent book on Hip-Hop, back in the mid-80's. Just got the AI2 in, I wish the little read by Toop in the back had a narrower line length. I lose track of the sentence going to the next line. Other than that, some excellent music. Esp B-12 and Autechre. Seems B-12 have canned the some what corny melodies of their past releases (IMHO). Last, has anyone heard the Zion Train stuff? Like the "Natural Wonders of the World" LP? Enjoy! time...space...transmat@teleport.com bleep on!

Yep. Most of it. Ive got the 1st 2 lps - 'great sporting moments in dub' (look at the detail on the cover if you see this!), and 'passage to indica'. Both of these are pretty slow and bass heavy. Excellent to chill out to etc. however, they have released a series of singles on their own label [universal egg], which are in general more uptempo, sometimes verging on techno. A brilliant dub/techno crossover, and essential (IMHO) for idmers with a penchant for bass/dub. Unfortunalely, the 12"s appear to be ltd edn (they say universal egg collectors ltd edn round the edge), so might not be able to find them all still. I think there are 4 so far, all tops... 1. (black) Zion Train - follow like wolves rmxs - by club dog people etc.. 2. (red) zion train - ruderalis / knights of the occasion table - jean de florettes 3. (purple) zion train - something or other dub something rmx 4. (green/blue) Diatribe / zion train The most reliable place to get them from would be Woof Distribution in the UK (= club dog again). dunno about USA. The lp mentioned at the top is a new one which i have only heard one track from, but that one was a good un. Be interested to hear what the whole lp is like... Apparently one of the ZT chaps used to go to my college here.. dunno him tho. Chris.
