Yeah, that's a good one. Simple, yet meaningful. Nice double-entendre with the slang "threads" (meaning 'clothes') orig. in 60's (or was it 50's beat lingo?) I'd put in a vote for something like 'threads'. It's the *concept* that has potential media interest, not necessarily the title. Although a title like 'threads' also ties together :-) many currently-popular concepts like 'global village' and 'multiculturalism' (since cultural identity is strongly connected to one's customary and native clothing or 'threads'....). How about some artwork that is close-ups of multi-colored braided ribbon cable [hooked to a serial port]? Threads of wire (the close-ups will look like colored cloth). Or maybe even actual 'cloth' woven from multi- colored wire or even optical fiber (with the ends glowing, of course). Kudos, Barry "Information wants to be free! I like that. Any name that contains "cyber" or "information highway" gets a vote against it from me. We can still relate it back to the net without calling it something that is going to be cliche or dated in months time, if it is not already. "Threads" is nice, others maybe: IOHO (in our humble opinion) IDM Subscribe etc.... I am not saying these are great names, but maybe they can get the ball rolling in a different, less Mondo 2000 way. ;> If I had to choose one from ALL the different suggestions, "threads" would be it hands down for me. I am really looking froward to contributing a few tracks to this comp. I'm agree with this for the full 100%, though I can't join in with a track of my own as I'm not that musical (understatement) I might be of some help in the sleeve. I'm learning graphics design at the moment and I hope I'll be able to produce something good in a month or so ... So if you guys are interested and have any ideas in which direction you want it, I can try and make something nice ...
