Well, I do know (from an article I read) that the percussions sounds in "Quoth" are actually samples of brake drums being beat on! Yes, RDJ actually went out to a auto salvage yard with his portable DAT recorder and beat on some drums! Brake drums, that is...

In an interview, RDJ said that the early ambient and Polygon Window material is all slightly tweaked Roland drum machine stuff ie. 606, 808, etc. But then again (strangely enough, in the same interview) he also said that when he uses some drum sounds, he then deletes them from the disk so that he won't want to use them again. Cornish techno/ambient pioneers eh? Who'd have 'em? :-) __ Simon Walley | 1E 76 9A 0D 78 3A 3B 1C | /\ \ <u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk> | A1 60 73 AE 8B 0E E0 B6 | /--\_\
