Has anyone heard about Drome playing some gigs at the end of the month? Supposedly there's some fest at a coffee house in Amsterdam with Aphex Twin and Mixmaster Morris on May 29th and then there's a gig in London on June the first. Anyone know more about this? R.

I heard some rumours about an Aphex-gig too, but who/what is Drome? The coffee house you mentioned is probably be 'de Melkweg'/'the Milky Way'. If i get some more info i'll post it! Drome is a German act. Their stuff is out on Ninjatone and Wigwam. It's kinda dubby techno trance, along the lines of PWOG, Amorphous Androgynous, the Orb, Exquisite Corpse, etc... R.

Ah ha! I will be able to manage this one tho...If it's anywhere near as good as the last Megadog I went to this should be a good night. Our union is really getting it's head together.... see my Sabres @ Newcastle review...

TBC yeah. I'd like to see this one happen. How come all the best gigs happen in the middle of exams :(

And who was moaning about not enough unkown artists...? 'cos I don't know about you but I've never heard of Franklin, Link, or Fitton. Seems to me this is just about the same mix of know vs. unknown as the first AI.

Nope. I remember them telling me the new LFO LP would be out in about 4 months. That was 2 years ago.... greg 3 0 3

Link = Reload. I haven't heard of Franklin and Fitton too, but these names weren't in the NME-list so i didn't know they were on AI2. But it's a pretty impressive buch of artists alright. This Friday i bought another new Warp CD: 'Diversions' (haven't i heard this title before?) by RAC (WARP CD22). It's OK but not really special imho (maybe i'll have to listen to it a few more times). It sounds a bit like the CD by Rhythm Invention, but that may be because Richard Brown (of RI) has had a hand in this. By the way, does somebody know what has happened to the album 'Soul Circuit' by Resoraz? Has anybody else got this? RAC are Sheffield DJs Astrix And Space ie Richard And Chris. Chris is my inside man at WARP :) I suppose I ought ot buy it really! I really like the minimalist cover, just plain yellow with a 'diverted' black arrow.

Haven't a clue. I haven't seen it on any of the WARP schedules I've seen recently. greg 3 0 3

Orbital has a new album called Diversions. Maybe that is what you hear before? None-the-less, the Orbital CD is excellent. IMHO, their best yet. -Blankstare
