I've fixed two of my more precious records that were skipping with a bright light, a magnifying glass and a sewing needle. I can't remember where I read it first, probably the BPM list, and I didn't believe it until one day out of desperation I tried it and it worked. Now that nasty skip is a *barely* noticeable click. ___ / / / / / / _ __/ (_/__/ / (__ (__ ___/

I wish :-), I am on my third copy of SAW2, my first died when I somehow managed to drop an EQ, the corner of which pierced the case, disk 1 and left a dent in disk 2. The second formed an indigestible snack for our bastard bunny. I'm beginning to think that I'm destined never to own a playable copy of this work. I have seen kits for repairing minor CD damage, although I have no idea if they work. jeff

You can buy a sort of paste stuff which you spread on the disk and then buff up. It works by filling in the scratches with a material (the paste) which has similar optical properties to the plastic which protects the aluminium. So you effectively have a nice new smooth disk! Well, in theory anyway :) Oh and btw for any Labour supporters around the world, John Smith has just died of a heart attack. Bummer! greg 3 0 3

Well at least it has good taste :-)

Some of it sounds quite cool with CD glitches. Makes for unusual listening. My YMO "Hi-tech/No Crime : Reconstructed" CD jumps all over the Altern-8 remix and then jumps to the end of the CD, making the Altern-8 mix unplayable. A great shame, that. <g> __ Simon Walley | 1E 76 9A 0D 78 3A 3B 1C | /\ \ <u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk> | A1 60 73 AE 8B 0E E0 B6 | /--\_\
