RE>Dust Bros.
Wow, so many mistakes in one message. The Dust Brothers EP is definitely titled
the 14th Century Sky EP. The track with the "acidy guitar sound" (it's a synth)
is called Chemical Beats - this one is a STORMER. climaxes galore. Also on
that side is a slow, odd track called One Too Many Mornings. On the other side
is a hip hop funky jam called Dope Coil, and then Her Jazz, which sounds like a
dance track with a Dead Can Dance or This Mortal Coil sample. Good stuff all
around. And btw, these Dust Brothers are NOT the Dust Brothers who produced
Paul's Boutique for the Beastie Boys (they also did Tone Loc - a little known
and not well publicized fact!)
I forgot to mention the Dust Brothers remix of Lion Rock's "Packet Of Peace"
yesterday, but others caught my mistake. Another godlike storming dance track.

I have an E.P. by the dust bros. simply titled The Dust Brothers E.P. (it
says 14th Century Sky on one side, but I don't think that is the E.P.'s
name). I think the track everyone is mistakingly calling '14th Century
Sky' is called 'Dope Coil'. Dope Coil has this really acidy guitar sound
over a nice hip-hoppy groove...is this what you people are talking
about? BTW there is also a great track on the other side called 'Too
Many Mornings' with this haunting female vocal (beautiful). This track
has some acidy overtones...very nice.
As far as I know, the Dust Bros are two guys out of the U.K. whose names
elude me now (because I do not have the vinyl here in front of me), and
they have worked with the Beastie Boys amonst others (the Dust Bros. are
fairly well established).
