He's probably lying if he claims he's always going without sleep :) You
_can't_ go without sleep for too long. The only possible way to 'go without
sleep' perpetually is to take short naps very often - ie, spend 15 minutes
every two hours or so napping. and you're right, even if he _doesn't_ sleep
much, who cares? i'm much more interested in hearing about drum patterns
than sleep patterns :-)

yes, it is, and also anti-muslim, anti-catholic etc... especially when it's
amongst ravers and techno artists. Many claim to be 'spiritually aware' and
'open-minded', and then just lump all religion into one pile and laugh at
it all and those who practice. what's next, boycotting moby because he
believes in a supreme being? burning muslimgauze records because they're
radical muslims? come on everyone!
respect everyone's opinion equally. i see lots of ravers who say one thing,
but then do another when it comes to whatever particular religion they have
something against.
personally, i take no great offense to RDJ's 'top ten', but it gets a D- in
the humour department.

maybe he's a conspiracy theorist and he thinks that the bible is the
handbook of a bunch of illuminati who are out to get him - you would too if
you only got two hours of sleep a night! ;-)

hey, didn't you know? us musicians are almost automatically qualified to
speak prophesy and write dissertations on every subject known to mankind!

so do it. no offense, but it seems to have gotten him some success, why
not? lots of people seem to claim that what he does isn't so hard, even
that it's easy to do, but i have yet to hear anyone else who's making those
sounds (Barry Sanders (meta-4) has come quite close, but then i haven't
heard anyone who makes music quite like his either, except RDJ :)
point: if the music is so darn easy to make, why isn't anyone else making
it? his music may not be incredibly complex from a theory standpoint, but
i can't see how anyone can claim what he's doing isn't original.

yes, and unfortunately that's the way alot of people make their opinions...
it's why so many people like grunge (ok, ok, so i like a _little_ of it
myself - no flames :) instead of bashing them back, it's better to get out
and educate those who are willing to listen. getting pissed off rarely gets
anyone anywhere.

but people _do_ say things such as you've mentioned above. the reason you
don't hear them is because those things are not accepted by our society.
religion, on the other hand, is a prime target for anybody because it's
socially acceptible. it _shouldn't_ be, but it is. it's also quite stupid
to make fun of religion in general (which is the most prevalent type of
mockery today) - it's sort of like saying _all_ philosophies are dumb and
stupid and we should ignore them all (despite the fact that this in itself
is a philosophy). but i digress.
this thread is getting totally off the scope of this list, so let's end it.
