Well, we didn't get it, but our neighbors did. (We share an office with The Flavor, a hip-hop magazine, and for some reason they occaisonally get some dance music promos, althought not all that good ones) I assume you're talking about the Ritual of Life/Accident in Paradise double 12" (with the handy Driving the Autobahn with Sven artwork)... The Flavor had two copies and we snatched 'em. The DJ pierre mixes are really good but there's nothing else on this disc that I'd pay for... It's a domestic release, I think from Warners (whoever's ultimately distributing the stuff)... It's got the cheesy US graphics on the front and back, with Sven, some butterflies, those dancers and whatnot... and there are 2 handy pieces of vinyl within, each with about 5 mixes Ritual of Life and Accident in Paradise... Well I just pulled it out to try and decide which tracks I really liked, and the DJ Pierre Tracks are the ones I love the best! So yer taste and mine are disjoint sets.

I liked all of the mixes, yeah, especially the Spicelab mixes. The Neutron mix was especially soothing.

I can listen to those tracks maybe only once in about a week and a half, no more I don't think. The only Dj Pierre mix that I ever really liked was that remix of Shade Shady by RuPaul.

If I remember correctly (I hope I do, I've listened to it SOOO many times): Ritual of Life: 1) video edit, 2) Dj Pierre remix, 3) Tribal Acid mix, 4) Spicelab mix, 5) Neutron 5000 (or is it 9000?), Accident: 6) single edit, not in any order now because I don't remember the order, 7) william orbit and spooky remix, 8) lenny dee brooklyn mix, 9) lenny dee and john selway mix, 10) spicelab mix, 11) (I forgot)

It's a "mini-CD", six tracks, 30 (or so) minutes of music. From memory, the tracks are: Arpeggiators: "The Spirit Makes You Move" Hardfloor: "Acperience III" Futurhythm: Red Heat Barbarella: Barbarella 1 Arpeggiators: Trancemission Spicelab: Weirdo Good tracks, but nothing really essential -- you shouldn't have to pay much more than $8 for this. If you can't stand 303's, don't bother. "Acperience III" rips, "Red Heat" is funky acid mayhem, and despite the vocals "The Spirit Makes You Move" is catchy. I was left fairly unmoved by the other tracks -- "Barbarella" is a little bland by Sven & Ralf's usual standards, and "Weirdo" isn't up to Oliver Lieb's usual standard of wacky tempo-twisted acid. This disk is about a year old, btw. There's also a fairly glaring mastering error through the first minute or so of the Futurhythm track. | Dave Walker, Detroit Art Services (DAS) | | | | marmoset@msen.com "she _definitely_ gets the blowpop" |

Unless I'm going crazy, it was *one* 12" single (not two) on Warner Brothers that just came out within the past couple of weeks. One side has the original Ritual of Life remixes and the other side has the original Accident in Paradise remixes.

this sounds right. I'm prety sure track 11 is another Lenny Dee remix. There were two, one of them was just over 2 minutes long (brooklyn mix probably) and the second mix was a lot longer. However, I also remember there being two different mixes by William Orbit. hope that helps. ___ / / / / / / _ __/ (_/__/ / (__ (__ ___/
