What is up with the grand canyon this summer(august?)...is this for real, if so who's performing? Brendan(seeing as you play at Megatripolis)??? Finally received my copy of 'Cosmic Strings' by the afformentioned Brendan from cowley...a review will follow shortly- i'm still on my first listen thru, and so far has run from airy flutterings to primordial scrapings, to rolling basslines, to the highly wierd...just very cool.... There's been discussion of this on both idm and sfraves. The actual facts seem to be that the "zippies" will not be at the rainbow gathering and the rainbows will not be at the canyon anyway. However, there may be something there that was just horribly misreported in Wired. Personally, I think that if there isn't something happening there, someone ought to think about planning something. Enough people have heard about the week-long rave at the start of August that if one is actually held, it should be easy to get the word out and bring in thousands of people from all over the place....

Well kids, I know that at least I will be out in the desert for at least one weekend in August. If you don't think its worth the drive, just ask the people who came from Cali last year.
