Okay, I was listening to a tape someone sent of the 'Analogue Bubblebath' 12" and I noticed there was a slight difference between the tape and the rereleased CD5 I have. On the tape, 'flaphead' is correctly identified (I assume so from the track time listed in the disc.), but 'Isoproplex' (sp) is not the same as the CD5. I thought maybe it was actually 'phloam', but that track doesn't appear on a 12" with 'digerdoo' and 'analogue 1'. What gives?? BTW, Regis, it's the tape you sent me. -- Brian "Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a terminal prognosis."

I noticed this too. Isoprophlex is different from "isopropophlex" on the reissue. Check the spelling. It is different. Anyone have any ideas? Is the Ananlogue Bubblebath a straight reissue? track list i have : analogue bubblebath isopropophlex entrance to exit afx 2 tvt 4810-2 I have the aphex 12" RSUK 12 that has : Digeridoo Analogue Bubblebath 1 Flaphead Isoprophlex BTW, this is the one I taped for you Brian any ideas? thanks regis

This is the tracklisting of the original Analogue Bubblebath EP (on Mighty Force).

This is *not* the Analogue Bubblebath EP, this is the Digeridoo EP. The UK release of the Digeridoo 12" loses one track from the original R&S Belgium release, and substitutes Analogue Bubblebath. Cosmic

Hmmm. I've been confused with this renaming of tracks or whatever is going on with afx. I have the R&S (re)release of 'Digeridoo' and 'Xylem Tube', and the UK ABB3 on vinyl. I also have the Rephlex J4 & J5s. Which tracks are missing from these lot that are on the original mighty force ABB1 & 2s ? or whatever (sorry to drag out the afx thing more... i thought i'd ask the experts!) Chris.

Rather than go rummaging through my vinyl to find all of these (TVT buggers, releasing "Analogue Bubblebath I" when I was the only one I knew with the original vinyl (-: ), I'd point you to Alan "Fluid" Parry's excellent Aphex discography which he just posted to alt.music.techno and alt.rave last week. The original Analogue Bubblebath EP had two releases. This is the EP that starts with the track Analogue Bubblebath. I've got the Mighty Force release, (credited to Aphex Twin), and I believe there was a rerelease shortly afterwards (with the same track listing) on a different label (credited to AFX). There isn't an Analogue Bubblebath Vol 2, but the Digeridoo EP (On R&S Belgium) is the second EP in the Analogue Bubblebath series (and it doesn't have Analogue Bubblebath on it). However, to add to the confusion, the R&S UK release of Digeridoo substitutes the track Analogue Bubblebath for one of the other tracks. Analogue Bubblebath Vol 3 is on Rephlex Records, and all the tracks are named by numbers. However, to add to the confusion, there is also a track called Analogue Bubblebath 3 which appears on the Trance Europe Express compilation, and is *not* from Analogue Bubblebath Vol 3. Hope this makes sense.... Cosmic

So did the RS UK version. 'Digeridoo [Analogue Bubblebath 2]' The R&S Belgium release of Digeridoo also disagrees with RS UK on the identity of Isoprophlex. Which track is Isoprophlex? It's something I've always wondered as I only have two conflicting bits of evidence. Oh and the cover listing and the label listing for Xylem Tube disagree as well, so it's impossible to name the two tracks Dodeccaheedron and Phlange Phace definitively :) greg 3 0 3

Ah, that's interesting, because Isopropophlex on Analogue Bubblebath is the same (or very similar, at any rate) to Isoprophlex on the R&S Belgium release of Digeridoo (despite the fact that the titles are different....) weird.... Cosmic

This is marked as Phloam on the R&S version. This also means the the Isoprophlex on the RS UK version is in fact phloam. Because phloam must be the track I thought was Iso.. on the Belgian one and this is the one thats on the RS Uk version. This is doing my head in ! :) greg 3 0 3

So, in summary, it sounds like the people who put together the R&S UK release got confused about which track was swapped out inorder to include Analogue Bubblebath. Right? Cosmic

And you'll find that the track listing on the R&S UK version disagrees. That's the whole point of this discussion. It sounds to me like the R&S UK one is wrong, in that they got confused as to which track they took out.... (But I don't have the R&S UK version....) Cosmic

I can back this up. On AB#1 you can hear this because the track plays straight through. On Xylem tube the sample is still there, but there's a locked groove right before the sample it is very hard to play. In our previous episode, Alan Michael Parry said: > I have the mighty force vinyl version of this and the track misspelled > "Isopropophlex" is the same as "Isoprophlex". Yes, that's all fine and great, but why are the two tracks different? Maybe it's NOT a misspelling. -- Brian "Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a terminal prognosis."

Well the track "Analogue Bubble bath 3" on trance europe express is a longer, more distorted version of a track (track 8 i think) that is on the CD version of analogue bubble bath 3. AS for didgeridoo, my copy (R+S rerelease) has isoproplex on it. Hope that makes things clearer *grin* darko.....

It's a (bad - IMHO) remix of track 11. What, was he afraid it would scare TEE buyers? ------------------------------------------------|------------------------------ "categories strain, crack, and sometimes break | Harvey D. What about the Analog BubbleBath that appears on the R&S In Order To Dance 4? Is it the same as on the ABB1 EP?
