Plink Plonk is a collaborative, one driving member of which is the Shamen's Mr.C. Many of their releases use pseudonyms to (and I paraphrase here) "allow some of the more well known djs/producers more creative/experimental freedom." Look for a new triple album release from Plink Plonk entitled 'Parasols' which should be released next week and features work from all the major members of the collaboritve. Liner notes have an interesting essay on what, exactly, Plink Plonk's all about. I've heard a good portion of the music and it's *smoking*, deep and heavy. Full review will follow when I get my copy next week :) take it easy ethan

Yeah, Plink Plonk is one of my favourite labels. Also good recently is Blue Goose's 'Spirals' and Tone Theory's (Derrick Carter) 'Limbo Of Effortless Possibilities', both on the blue label, and the remixes of La Synthesis's 'Agraphobia' (Larkin and Nuw Idol) on the black label... -- See ya --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Tom Churchill EMail tom@chrchfam.demon.co.uk | | | Techno/electronic DJ and musician | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
