I have learned my lesson about making comments in the context of reviews. So...i will make no opinions known other than those concerning the music. I am sure you are all pleased. SVEN VATH : ACCIDENT IN PARADISE Tracks... 1) Ritual of life.....13:08 2) Caravan Of Emotions.....11:55 3) L'esperanza.....9:53 4) Sleeping Invention.....3:20 5) Mellow Illusion.....9:06 6) Merry-Go-Round Somewhere.....1:13 7) An Accident In Paradise.....6:24 8) Drifting Like Whales In The Darkness.....6:36 9) Coda.....1:24 10) L'esperanza (single edit).....3:53 Thoughts... First of all the "accident" must have been that outfit he was wearing on the cover...(if the dude was him)...i would have to give this the JASON AWARD FOR MOST RIDICULOUS JACKET COVER AWARD...it is quite silly. the music on the other hand is another story... it is an interesting blend of samples and beats and tech sounds with traditional instruments like harpsichords and violins...and also carnival instruments.... the first track features the enchanting sounds of the digeridoo...one of my particular favorite world instruments... my personal wish would be for there to be long versions of the short tracks...but i liked the overall album... best tracks...hmmm...1, 2, 3, 7, 8, oh hell its all good...but a few bits might take a little getting used to... on the almighty jason scale...i give it an 8.5 out of 10... but you HAVE to go look at that jacket...man...lets see who the art director was...A-brrrz'u Design... a word of advice...never take any business to A-brrrz'u design...unless you get written contracts saying your stuff will never look anything like Sven Vath's disc jacket...o.k....man its hilarious... And if you ever find out who his tailor is...dont go to them either... later, jasonosaj. @@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ j a h 1 0 @ r a . m s s t a t e . e d u @@@ @@@ @@@ --------------------------------------- @@@ @@@ @@@ b R o t H e R A l p H a B e T @@@ @@@ @@@ --------------------------------------- @@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@-how many days to oblivion anyway?????-

Couldn't agree more. Fucking ridiculous. If a newbie to techno/rave saw this cover, all his/her misconceptions about excesses of the culture would be validated. I reviewed this for a radio station, and even though the music was emotional and serious, the cover kept popping into my head. Ack. I would agree also that the short tracks should have been longer, while some of the long tracks should have been shorter. I would give it a lesser score, somewhere around 5 or 6. Kevin

What do you have? Acident in Paradise? My slleve is a strange pattern with a hand with some eyes superimposed over it. My L'esperanca single has a picture of him on the cover though. Apparently there must be... mine has him (or someone) in a "space age" football looking getup.... with yellow and red and very loud stripes on the pants...and a butterfly painted on his face...and his hands in a non masculine wizard looking pose...with these superimposed dancer people with nonexistent faces.... color scheme is blue...except for his painful attire... maybe i have this one cause its a promo copy or something...the other guy had the same and if my assumptions are correct...his is also a promo... go figure... later, jasonosaj.
