I'm pretty sure that the remixes on the Saturn 5 single are by the bloke
from Orbital (I read it in two seperate articles) so I can only assume that
this Van Dyke fellow has something to do with them. As for the fact that
Brian didn't like them, I'm very sorry to hear that - what don't you
like about them?
The remixes aren't on the new single with Mark E. Smith on in answer to
Dave's question. However if you do check out the remix c.d of this very
single (dung 24r) you'll find a nifty little remix of Dragging Me Down by
Jon Da Silva (I think it's him, I haven't got it with me), there's also
another remix of party in the sky, which I also rather like.
Oh and in case anyone is interested the Inspirals new album came out here
on Monday (sorry to bore all the hardcore fans with this) - and its
excellent. I'd be happy to give it a proper review if anyone is interested,
but I wouldn't really describe them as idm so I don't know if it would be
appropriate. Well if you do want one, just drop me a line.
The new Bjork c.d also came out Monday with some excellent remixes from
the likes of Fluke - who have their own excellent new single on the way -
and that is really good too.
Is anyone going to the Renaissance 2nd. birthday party on Saturday night
in Birmingham, with Sasha, Digweed and Seaman playing it should be
absolutley brilliant - if a little expensive at #23 a ticket. Well I'll see
you there if you're going!
Oh yeah - if you're reading this Darren Emmerson - so you are a D.J
afterall, I knew I recognised the name - and in fact I've seen you play - in
Nottingham I think (could be wrong) keep up the good work with Underworld
too, nice to see you on the cover of Melody Maker more than the indie bands
as well!
Final Point - did Orbital release a song called Satan in about 1990? I
think it was them and if it was and you've not got it - get it - its
excellent.
I'll go now - thanks for reading this far,
U.K Chris
