AROVANE Atol Scrap CD 12.28 Din
Is this the new Arovane CD? I think it contains his
"Icol Diston" 12" + other stuff. Anyway Arovane is one
of the few producers out of Berlin who take Basic Channel
as an influence rather than a blueprint. His stuff has that
austere, chin-scratching BC flavor while taking in warmer elements.
Really very good, and lots of records out there are appearing
with "Arovane-esque" in the description. His 7" and the new FWD 12"
didn't blow me away, but his Amx 12" on Din was on lots of
Top Tens this year.

Probably Brinkmann's most accessible works to date,
but I could just be saying this because they're on CD. A bit
more developed and quirky take on the Brinkmann sound,
but considering since he's done all sorts of bizarre stuff
(even on the once ernst Ernst label) I guess that's a dated comment.
CAPITOL K Roadeater "CDS : 12""" each 4.30 Planet ?
Capitol K is more indie rock / electronica hybrid stuff, but
uptempo with guitars. Gets old _FAST_.

Funkstorung before they were Funkstorung, when they
were just some other kids doing Lowlands gutter acid. I can't
imagine this music took real skill to create. If you want hours
and hours of the exact same two dirty notes, buy them all.
