Yeah, that`s right. The Orb were signed to Big Life Records but left them
after a lengthy negotiations just before the release of Live 93. They`re now
signed to Island.
They have a new single called "Pommes Fritz" (dubbed "Little Fluffy Clouds
part 2") and a new album called "Orbus Terrarum" I think. However these are
being delayed because Big Life are re-releasing the Orb`s back catalogue
over here ("...Clouds", "Perpetual Dawn" and the Aubrey Mixes soon) and
therefore preventing the Orb from releasing anything new.
There you go, that`s the Orb story in as much detail as I can tell it...
Just finished listening to "The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra Volume 1" by
Sun Ra. It appears to be the shit when it comes to free-form space jazz.
