I recently picked up a used copy of the relatively new sampler from FFR called "California Dreaming". Musically i find that this is an adequate cd considering the low low price i paid ($7). It has a bit of overlap with the Exist Dance compilation but i can live with that. The saving grace for me was the YAP track and the Single Cell Orchestra track. However i have a major beef with the crap cartoon artwork and the chester cheeto fucking title. What the hell were the morons inthe FFr marketing department thinking? The ad copy and liner reeks of this "cyberhippy" lingo that makes me wish for some heavy artillery to raid the corporate board room with. And what up with the Speed Racer meets Sigue Sigue Sputnik coverart. Thanks to FFR for shaming some quality music with substandard mainstream marketing. Underground for the underground. Hop in my Galaxie and grab that assault rifle.
