I do both kinds of shows. I don't think it matters really, but what I think is important is that you always tell what you are playing (if you make a mixed program you can give the tracklist afterwards). I always get upset when I hear stuff that I like and that I don't know what it is (that's why I'm not very fond of mixtapes). As you may have noticed, I also post my playlist in advance to the IDM list and some other people. Another thing that I try to do when I play something sought after like the Caustic Window EP:s is to give the information about the song before it is played. Since many people in those cases probably want to record it.

Lucky you! I have to play them but sometimes I just don't care about them -- the radio boss and the advertisers probably don't listen to my program anyway.

I'm in the same situation, the only interesting stuff I can find at the radio staion is Underworld, Orbital etc. When I just don't have more new stuff I take out my list of songs with their BPM:s, find ten good tracks with roughly the same tempi and make a mixed program instead.

Same here, I'm interested in anything related to IDM or ambient. I'm especially interested in people's demo tapes. So far I have played everything I have got sent. So if you're making music, get in contact with me! I'm offering a taped copy of the very program in exchange (but only if you request it!). does anyone know any record companies that would be interested in sending out promo rekkids to be played on the air? i am involved with the student radio station at indiana university, (wius) and the dance music scene is almost completly ignored, but i haven't got the music or the money to really do anything about it. any records that would be sent to the station would become property of the station and would remain in the station library, so this is not a scam for me to get free records. anyone have any suggestions on where to start? thanks, bob.

As part of the overhaul I've just given my feedback monitor website, I'm trying to clean up my horribly outdated list of links to other electronic radio show websites. Therefore - if you (or someone you know) has an electronic music oriented radio show, and you (or that someone) also runs a website for said show, please send me the URL and info. Please note that I'm only interested in shows that have an associated website, and I'm concentrating on shows that are broadcast on radio as opposed to online-only programs. There are just WAY too many Net shows now, and there are already sites that catalog them nicely. So just send me URLs for radio show websites.
