I think this is the best way to do so. And then we can compare the 'best of 99' with the 'best of the decade'. Thanks to all who have sent in their lists. Keep them coming... A_Zed >> Just a suggestion for contributors/compiler: "Best of the decade" is very broad. It's probably a good idea to separate them into three catergories based on the three "intelligent" lists of the Hyperreal scale (ambient, IDM, 313). Then people could contribute three, two, or one, but the data would be a little more consistent. After all, it's weird to compare From Within with Plastikman, or Speedy J with Jochem Paap's FAX output, or whatever. Also what about singles/compilations of work? Should these be eligible - especially if they contain pre-1990 work (ala Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, Derrick May CD's, etc.)? So many questions. Could sombody PLEASE explain what "313" stands for? If it's Detroit, then what relevance does the number have? Thank you most kindly and then, let's begin listing our lists (I have a group of friends who are making their Top 100 Of All Time lists, *in order* of 1-100... I was invited, but declined, since it's all arbitrary and changes from day to day with me. And in the end, does it actually _really_ matter?) That said, I do enjoy voyeuristically reading other people's lists.
