High Lonesome Sound System Sample Question
Hey Folks! This has been driving me crazy for weeks now. Where is that keyboard riff originally from that is sampled in the track, "We're Go: Stage One" by High Lonesome Sound System (on Exist Dance Records in case you forgot :P)?? This sampled riff starts out exactly on one minute into the track, and it continues for about 20 seconds I believe. It pops up again at 2:30 seconds into the track. Now I know I've heard this riff before. Any ideas?? It's makin' me crazy! Also, how is the track "Up Above the World" (I think that's the title) on Exist Dance. I think it was realesed on purple vinyl, but I'm not sure. Any comments on it?? Worth hunting down?? -Porter Internet: kmr4@ra.msstate.edu AOL: PorterMR@aol.com

I'm listening to it right now. I don't think I can help you. I luff that bass though. 8)

There are two Up Above the Worlds. Unleashed in the East (ED009) and Trying to Reach Sawaan (ED011). I think the most recent one came on trippy purple vinyl. To answer your question, it is not as devastating as some of their other tracks, but it is still pretty damn fine and definitely worth picking up. Chris Fraser &:^) ! Hmm. Just ran into the other room and fired up the turntable to give a listen. Hehehe... I haven't a clue. Cool riff though. :)

I got the standard black vinyl... Lessee. 134bpm, cute "It's a weird trip" sample. Danceable I suppose, but this comes to a guy who isn't really into the scene. I picked it up used for $3 or something like that, so I'm not so particular about it. :) Wow! It's finally nice to know that I have some music that somebody else does!
