"The Night The Lights Went out In Georgia" and "It's the End of The World As We Know It" (just kidding -- I'm not yet another American in a bunker with 6 months worth of canned goods and a private arsenal) ;) I plan on driving out to the country (hopefully it'll be a clear night) and staring up at the stars, while something suitably cosmic plays on the car stereo. Maybe UR's "The Final Frontier" or Namlook VII. -d.w. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

a bit off topic (idm, that is), but i remember back in my youth (87ish) djing a new years eve party (and this was back in the days of one-DJ-all-night *not* how many damn djs can we cram on the bill, so i djed from about 8pm to 8am ish) and i was playing to a crowd that was from all over canada (it was a conference) so every hour as the time change went into effect, people from each individual time zone did their "happy new year!". i played a ton of requests, but none of them were new year related. and minutes after finishing for the night, carrying my crates back to the hotel, i said to myself: "geez, why didn't i break out U2's New Year's Day?!!" andrew duke np cleo; one of two siamese cats here, loudy letting me know that she'd rather i feed her than answer posts on IDM :) np #2: nadja (the other one) thomas m weibrecht wrote:
