At least Facebook has _some_ utility, such as spying on people and noticing
supposedly professional people in your circle doing body shots in Tiki bars.
It's also a great way to get into inane arguments about global affairs with
people who haven't had a face-to-face conversation with in 20 years. Now,
Twitter, despite the media's circle-jerk obsession with it, is a huge waste
of time. The only thing that I've seen come out of it with any point at all
is some of the dispatches coming out of Iran, but even that is troublesome.
There are plenty of "Iranians" posting about what's going on in the streets
from their bedrooms in America. Sifting truth from fiction and news from
noise is impossible.
