Nice to see that Nonresponse is getting back into a few releases (new Proem & Loess) after a four year hiatus. Troy/Portis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jacob Arnold" <jacob@gridface.com> To: "IDM IDM" <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, May 18, 2009 9:50 AM Subject: [idm] Recent Reviews

I agree. The Loess album is an excellent compendium. Reckon Jacob is a bit tight with his star ratings, though. Only 3 out of 5? C'mon, Jake ;-P And not sure I'd agree that "[...] The new Proem album Till There’s No Breath is straight-up IDM as well." I found it to be more of a take on 'Dark Ambient' than anything taggable as 'IDM'. Quite markedly beat-depleted. Nice, though. alan --On 18 May 2009 11:38 -0230 Troy <portis@nf.sympatico.ca> wrote:

You may be right. I don't use half-stars, so 3 is my "I like it but it might not stay on my iPod" rating ;-) There was a time when the IDM yearly best albums poll had an ambient sub-category! Cheers, Jacob Alan Lockett wrote:
