I personally love/d: Nerve Filter - Linear (by Tom of Assemblage 23, instrumental industrial with a serious techno bent, it really is too good to be called anything but IDM) Black Dog - Further Vexations (I am waiting... waiting for this to be released... SOON!!!) Harmonic 313 "When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence" - Side project of Mark Pritchard of Jedi Knights/Reload, best described as straight-up techno foundations with a very creative and wild IDMy frosting on it, up-beat, discordant, slides between cheesy and hardcore throughout the disc. My understanding is Vexing is 3 tracks from the upcoming Further Vexations album that will be out soon... Hopefully you already have Radio Scarecrow which is just awesome and if you're behind on old Black Dog classics, The Book Of Dogma is a great 2 disc compilation of Black Dog's greatest 'hits' (or their favorite tracks, not sure which) it is quite a good selection tho, they managed to get almost all of my favorite old tracks onto those two discs Clint Anderson System Administrator On Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 2:19 PM, Andrew Duke <andrew@andrew-duke.com> wrote:

Hi gang, I'm looking for recommendations for music (albums, artists, labels) that do downtempo soundscape-ish idm and/or glitch music. Any suggestions on where to begin? I used to vary between chillout/downtempo tracks (released) and glitch/idm stuff (unreleased). Lately I've been trying to do something a little more electro/downtempo. You could give it a listen: http://www.myspace.com/strom (skip the Seba track I've got in slot one -- or don't because it's a fairly awesome song) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
