Hello All, I'm in Seattle for the next week and am looking for information on what shows will be going on here during that time. In particular anything electronic music, dark/ambient, postrock, etc. would be enjoyable to check out. Any shows you know of and care to relate would be much appreciated. I am playing at the re-bar tomorrow night for this month's installment of Bonkers!: GEL-SOL live!!! "Gel-Sol lets the sunset simmer in the pan as a warm wash of synth caresses our ears and bundles us up for our journey. This is one of those albums that makes me believe that the machine playing the CD is actually a sentient being, and we are privy to its personal dreamscape. The machine, in this case, is pretty pleased about life!" - The Silent Ballet's review of Iz, Gel-Sol's third album www.Gel-Sol.com JERRY ABSTRACT!!! One of Seattle's most respected DJs and producers, a man who has been integral to our city's scene in countless ways, Jerry has released music on Shitkatapult and From 0-1, played shows in more cities than your shady uncle has dealt in, and has a whole psychic madness about dancefloor destruction and the process with which to unveil it. THE ALGEBRA OF NEED live!!! A personal fave who almost never plays out, Lydia's 12(+)-tone creations are so singular and unique that her music will hit you as subtly as a wind tunnel. Some amazing local sounds here, friends! THE NATUREBOT cd release! First off, a gnar gnar live set that consists of nothing you'd hear on the CD being released. Then, $5 CDs that are 70 minutes long and have a pretty picture on the cover w/ 2 shirtless men. Sooooo.... that's pretty cool, right? ERICTRONIC's disco chronic live! What can be said about Eric's cluelessly awesome music? Is he one of the best producers of all time? (yes, absolutely) Does he know what he's doing? (questionable) Does he give a damn what you care? (even more questionable) Rebar 1114 Howell St, Seattle 10PM-2PM January 9th, 2009 $5 before 11, $7 after Yer Pal, Gel-Sol --- On Thu, 1/8/09, Robert Stanton <robert.l.stanton@gmail.com> wrote:
