site: http://www.ropeswingcities.com/ release: http://ropeswingcities.com/?p=126 zip file: http://ropeswingcities.com/releases/subtle/offthesky-subtle_trees(rsc035).zip Hey everyone, a beautiful new release of ambient music by Kentucky's OffTheSky is available, maybe you'll dig it. :) I saw Autechre play in detroit at the DEMF, in i think 2001... maybe 2000? people were trying so hard to dance to it. they kept getting a solid groove going and then they would deconstruct it and the crowd would turn into a blob of lunging paraplegics until the beat would coalesce again. I think that dancing to Autechre has to just be one big joke to them. That's my dancing to Autechre story. -- joshua. That would be really weird as we have crossed lines often through the nets and label worlds. I had an MD recorder and a microphone...and maybe my 'All Tomorrows Parties' festival tshirt since I just returned from it a week earlier...a red and black sling bag. Probably too long ago to remember that many details though. Anyhow...small world. But back on the topic...the Off The Sky release is really really fantastic. Hope to release some of Jason's work on Experimedia in the future. On Fri, Aug 29, 2008 at 10:17 AM, joshua. <joshua@ropeswingcities.com> wrote:
