Squarepusher "Music Is Rotted One Note"
Squarepusher is Tom Jenkinson. A 23 year old set out to destroy all
concepts of electronic noise. His sounds are abstract, chaotic, and
harmonious all in the same vein. Spurts of jazz fused with drum'n bass,
mixed with intelligent dance music and crashing digital noise in all
directions. That's only one way to describe it.
But his latest "Music Is Rotted One Note" released on the NOTHING label,
doesn't follow his traditional drill'n bass signature, this time he's
trashed all the electronic noise for a full-on instrumental album loaded
with un-sequenced music that follows a traditional jazzy pace without the
use of machines. He uses actual drums, keys, and sounds that are more
"organic" then his previous work.
Another masterpiece that will take several listens to unfold!
