The Lithium Project - Clear - cd I have been listening to this disc A Lot lately. Its a really great release with the perfect mixture of funky beats, grooves and a sort of improv / live instrumentation feel to a number of the tracks (Passo Fundo comes to mind). Parts of the disc have a nice drum + jazz quality that moves through and develops in complexity throughout the course of a song (Mars Plastic, Earthly Egos). The third mix of Passo Fundo (re-collectives mucho gusto samba) is very swank and uses a nice organ sound throughout. Overall The LP's sound is pretty organic due to a liberal sprinkling of 'live' instrument sounds (guitar on Moments in Neon, bass on Passo Fundo). This release has less of a machined or produced quality than some of the other Clear releases. If you enjoy some of the Metamatics and Reflection releases on the Clear label you will probably like this particular title! Does anyone have an idea ... What are Jason Farrall and Ken Clarke working on now? Also who is the person/people behind the remixes credited to '3rd eye'? Jeffrey. ...........................
