I just posted a review of Paul Hegarty's Noise/Music: A History to my
blog Serial Consign -
http://serialconsign.com/node/187
The text would be of interest to anyone who wants to play
connect-the-historical-dots with the entire expanse of 20th century
music as a playing field.
The book doesn't offer that much in the way of new readings of
contemporary electronic music, but the historical readings are ace.
