... blog or pass on anywhere you want .. ======= Currently there is an audio collage on http://txp.kliklak.net/kliklak/kliklakofonie which could be described as HIGHLY ENERGETIC AMBIENCE. Read further for precautions. ======== The audio collage features ten Myspace players of kliklak artists, which are mostly set to random play. This roughly leads to several millions of possible collage variations initially upon --- Best greets from Berlin. jayrope - http://www.kliklak.net http://www.touchdonttouch.com page visit. Unfortunately there is probably almost no other digital ways to guarantee idealistically a unique collage to every listener, than calculating random and supplying as many variations that way. You can call your own listening experience "calculated" here, this does not apply to your own impressions, luckily. So what's the use of this, then? People, who are into ambient music, drones, impossible crossovers of electronic and acoustic styles, louder volumes, beats and free speeds, noise, distortion, fragmentation, future folk, trip hop, spoken and sung poetry as well as mutual genres can find some pleasure here. It's a battle of melody, harmony, rhythm and noise, altogether turning itself into a pleasant background noise of sorts, only to the connaisseur, of course. This collage is about the pleasures of layering-induced confusion, partly. It is also a sort of mechanical override of taste borders, to some. Try different volumes on players or overall, and switching players on and off. The selection of artists could stylewise best be described as "New Weird Berlin" (except they think, that weirdness has a grace, which is oftenly discredited by it's perfect usability to boost masterial interests or profit). The question remains unanswered, if this makes any musical sense in itself. [Sparing you the political aspects this time] Come listen, decide for yourself. And turn down your audio volume to 30% in the first place. Also reserve 200 MB of space on any of your harddisks, the flash based players use a lot of space for caching music files. *hint 0: don't do, what's hinted below. *hint 1: when you hard-restart your computer in a later stage of the performance you will find a load of mp3 files of all the music involved somewhere in a cache directory upon reboot. *hint 2: this might destroy your file directory with ugly consequences we can only guess. *hint 3: don't do it.
