well, ill do my best to give you a brief review of this compilation of japanese techno and downtempo. basically, it is not that great. there is a track by dj krush, a disappointing (found sounds) type trrack by nobukazo takemura who's old child's view disc was excellent, a run of the mill ken ishii track, and mostly other unknown japanese artists that dont seem to do anything unique. not to say there arent some out there that do, but on this compilation there arent. the highlights to the cd in my opinion are the more detriot techno influenced tracks. if you have ever played the playstation game ghost in the machine, the techno tracks were specifically written for the game by derrick may, well there are about 4 songs on this double cd that have that same feel. really clean minimal techno that gradually builds up. for the amount of money you pay for, i was expecting something novel coming from japanese artists. very disappointing. sorry i couldnt give a grand review. :( stephen :::::::::::::::::: s t e p h e n . holland . chang :::::::::::::::::: ( holoscope ) > \ symbiosis \ :::::::::::::::::: stephen@holoscope.com :::::::::::::::::: holoscope.com :
