After the long reign of minimal techno, micro-house, whatever you want to call it, we’ve been seeing the hard techno backlash slowly starting to rear its nasty little head, and with the Positions E.P. we have our own entry into the battlefield. All specially made tracks designed to make your body sweat during these long, hot nights on the dance floor, Royale is known for his ability to bring it proper, as the kids say, and these tunes are no exception. The opening jam, Dog In A Bathtub, being the most subdued of the four tracks, still manages to want to push you around some and demand that you dance or go home. But after that, it’s straight four to the floor madness. Blocking the Box, reminiscent of the late 90’s Swedish techno sound brings it all up to the present with clean crisp production, hard hitting sounds and an undeniable groove for yer rump. After that Game of Smiles shows up with some London style: relentless brain crushing percussion and kicks, triggering your kung-fu action grip, and causing you to throw your hands in the air. Rounding out the release the Chocolate Cha-Cha brings us home in style, with housey underpinnings to help pull together this driving dance floor hump track. So, as you can see, even though, we’ve been running around the woods in our underwear for the last couple of months, giving our friends little “surprises” in their tents, its translated itself into a great new release on RSC, and a hot tracks way of getting back into the swing of things. And of course, enjoying the rest of our summer in style. joshua. ....... it doesn't have to be serious. we can just hang out. http://ropeswingcities.com http://ropeswingcities.com/josh23 http://spacepiratemusic.com http://acre-c.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
