to Wales ... if anyone's in the vicinity it'll be a good one :)
cheers
neil.

Ifor Bach in Cardiff. This will be the first time these artists have
played in Cardiff, and is a night not to be missed!
Headlining we have (Chris) Clark, who in recent years has produced two
of the finest albums on the legendary <

Warp Records label. Both <
http://www.warprecords.com/> Clarence Park
and <
http://www.warprecords.com/> Empty The Bones of You, not to
mention his equally acclaimed <
http://www.warprecords.com/> Ceramics Is
The Bomb EP, are classic, genre-defining electronica albums of the sort
Warp used to pump out an an alarming rate, but which nowadays come along
far less often. Fresh from his tour supporting
<
http://www.65daysofstatic.com/> 65 Days Of Static, Chris has also just
released a new EP, <

Furniture, which gives a taste of his forthcoming third album, due out
later this year on Warp. His recent live shows have left reviewers
breathless with praise and tonight will be no different!

Supporting Clark is AI Records' artist Yellotone, whose brilliant
<
http://www.airecords.com/> Tar File Junction album was released in
October 2004. Effortlesly weaving together seemingly disparate elements
of the musical traditional, electronic and otherwise, Yellotone is an
artist who can switch with ease from ripping up the dancefloor with
glitched-up beats to surprising you with the most fragile melody
imaginable, utilising a plethora of real instruments and, er, "fake"
ones, Yellotone is a true original and outstanding performer who you
can't afford to miss.

MoQ, our second guest act from Seed Records (following up The Doubful
Guest last month), is another first time visitor to Wales. He'll be
giving us a taste of his full-length album release,
<
http://www.seedrecords.com/> 1.21 Gigawatts, which is out now on the
Seed label. With label-mates Posthuman, The Doubtful Guest, Ardisson,
and Cursor Miner, MoQ represents the cutting edge of the London
electronic scene, with a brutal, autechre-inflected electro style that
demands your full attention in a way that dissapointingly little music
does. Guaranteed to rock the house! Check out his myspace page for
tracks:

Last but not least, machine.records' own Oddskool, aka Toby Newman, will
open up live proceedings. Played by John Peel way back in 2000, the last
year has seen Toby re-emerge as an astounding live performer after a
long radio silence, and he's got a new studio album in the bag that's
hard to beat. No wonder last year's download single, featuring the first
infectiously catchy track from his forthcoming album Two Ways To Listen,
won praise from Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Radio Wales' Adam Walton,
both of whom hailed 'Monostril' as one of the best releases yet to come
from the award-winning machine.records label. Like his debut album, due
for release in early May, this performance will knock the cobwebs out of
your ears.

In between the live music, the Machine residents, DJ SMO and Bendy J,
will be joined and Seed Records' DJs, all serving up the latest and best
electronic music, with tunes from the likes of Warp, AI, Seed, Rephlex,
Planet Mu, Skam, Schematic, DHR, Mille Plateaux, Force Inc, FatCat,
Audiobulb, Leaf, etc.
