It's rare that an album comes along and moves like a mixtape - as though it were born of a thousand fragments and yet stiched together masterfully by a DJ born for the task. Each track flows into the next and is created from the first. The album breathes and moves, pulsates and heaves as it's chest grows larger, filling with the warm air of anticipation. Just sitting back and listening idly, the album could easily pass you by. You might not realize that the first 4 songs have come and gone and the space you find yourself in is intentional. http://www.emitrecords.com/ resurrected i guess is the best way of putting it. we (state51) loved their stuff first time around and even designated a special box for the press releases they sent us, which were almost as nice as the releases. they were using a roland surround sound processing module in the 90's - kind of perceptual 3d - well ahead of their time. also as far as i could tell genuinely enthusiasts for pushing the boundaries. i loved the starfish - also the celia green readings were wonderfully mad. still have quite a stack. they were adding stuff to sonomu last year http://sonomu.net/org/ ~emt/ - they haven't added the new ipg release yet. one of my favourite ever labels. paul state51 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
