I know I always say this but we do indeed have a treat for you this
week at OSCILLATE.
Edward Ma is in town with his edIT project-- and this is most
cool.....
and to keep things as interesting as that we had a big challenge on
our hands so...
we invited some of the FourthCity folk down to invade our space
and they will most assuredly do just that..
and dis 'taint a bad thing I tell ya!
inteligent dance music? yes... but these pranksters
have an underlying agenda......
they want ya movin' what the good lord gave ya
and that seems like a pretty cool idea.

here is a little about the performers.....
eDIT
originally one of the four resident DJ's at the now defunkt Konkrete
Jungle Los Angeles. along with Hive, Daddy Kev, James Tai and mic rockers
Busdriver, Mikah 9 and P.E.A.C.E. they tore this shit up and showed Los
Angeles what the fuck is up. Also one of the original Dublab Radio DJ's
at the old legendary melrose studio (pre Plug Research days). During
that time edIT (formerly known as the Con-Artist) had produced and
engineered for the likes of Sole, Busdriver, Aloe Blacc, Emanon, Dr. Oop.
Things change a few years later he drops the now classic "Crying Over Pros
for No Reason" on µ-Ziq's Planet-Mu imprint. A downtempo love-makers'
epic about opportunities lost. Since the Mu record he has shifted gears
towards the dancefloor and remixed Daedelus' "Dumfound" for Plug
Research which has become a party rockin' classic. edIT is working on a new
album for Alphapup Records that is nothing but straight jiggafried heat.
"Certified Air Raid Material" will be his second, very highly
anticipated full length to be released sometime in 2006. Currently he
can be found dropping sirens and destroying dancefloors. Sleep with one
eye open. No doubt
ZAPAN
zapan (Seattle resident Zach Huntting) first performed as a dj with a
weekly residency at the Alibi Room in Seattle in 1996. in addition to
performing / releasing his solo creations under the names 'zapan' &
'bleep?commando,' zapan performs & records with djn under the moniker
'mister afternoon' & as 1/5 of the electrojazz band 'antiscience.' he
regularly returns to Japan, his second home, to compose music & play the
occasional show. Zach also runs and organizes local collective FourtCity
which among other things, curate The Laptop Battles
around the US and Europe.

Kris is a 2 time LapTop Battle champ and energetic performer. It is
rare to watch a laptop artist play with such enthusiasm. Mixing a dynamic
live presence with intricate beat writing, Kris will definately convert
non-believers to the laptop phenonenon with his exhilerating
