The Darkest Star (Monolake Remix) http://www.depechemode.com/playingtheangel/index.html#sufferwell has an mp3 preview of the monolake track (and all the others on the page). never heard of metope or basteroid before, but a quick surf over to http://areal-records.com/ has left me somewhat impressed. other names on the remix list are tiga, alter ego and narcotic thrust. Not all good news, though. I find it incredibly frustrating that the only Monolake take on Depeche Mode is the B-side of the 7"! I mean, it would have been nice to see Monolake remixing the actual single, plus on the 12" and CD, instead of the focus being on a certain someone who has already done 4 cover versions as singles (not naming a certain name); see below for details. Ditto for Alter Ego on the vinyl instead of relegated to limited CD as well as a DVD single. Oh well, I'm not the A & R person.
