Hey! This is the set in 1999 in, um, East Village in NYC yes? I was there! Being rather shy... On my way home from a Europe tour with my band. I met you guys a couple of nights later @ the Matmos show at that downstairs bit of the Knitting Factory too. Anyway. Hi Adrian! *waves* Yes, Mixmaster Morris is da man. Current fave idm-friendly DJ would be Kid Kameleon, www.kidkameleon.com - but it's not like he exclusively idm in any way, shape or form! Peter, what a memory you have! speaking of Matmos... I saw them perform a month or two ago in Los Angeles. They did a really excellent 20 minute piece that was a tribute to Terry Riley (who also performed that night, wicked!) it was commissioned by the Kronos Quartet (matmos had played it with the Quartet before, but this time just used samples). Like I said it was really good, just kept building up. I'm hoping it comes out on the next Kronos Quartet release! ~adrien ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Hollo" <raven@fourplay.com.au> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 2:36 AM Subject: Re: [idm] Best Idm Dj
