Hello!
Ouch, winter months are definitely here. Its an odd combination -
theres many more great shows on in winter, than there are in
summer, but you definitely feel the hibernation urge growing
inside, and it gets more tempting to stay home and listen to
music or work on you own... So, in case you're undecided, we
thought we'd give you plenty options for both choices!

For the staying home kind of mood, we have prepared many new
discs of fine quality music for your discerned listening enjoyment..
Bovaflux - 'Where There Was Nothing'
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Should now be filtered into all good indie stores, and still
picking up some ace reviews..
"fragile bleep-spattering requiems that sound like pickled
onions and daydreams and wind-chimes." Plan B Magazine
"This is a special album, consistently beautiful from
beginning to end." gridface.com
"the best little pure electronic release of a certain sort
that has come down the pipe in a while" almostcool.org
The Village Orchestra - 'Et In Arcadia Ego'
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This release is gathering some great momentum, and is due
for release last week of November. Its available to buy
directly from Smallfish and Norman records already..
"While a certain Scottish duo has been stealing the
headlines in the electronica sections of all the most
knowledgeable publications, fellow Scot Ruaridh Law, in
his Village Orchestra guise, has released one of the albums
of the year." Undercover Magazine.
"It's merely one stunning moment of many on this ravishing
collection of symphonic splendour. Sonic sculpting of the
first rank." Textura.org
"To be able to convey a sense of organic wonder using
cold lifeless technology is something that cannot be
overlooked as a fluke for The Village Orchestra, because
on Et In Arcadia Ego, Law does it again and again."
somewherecold.com
Fuck-off Machete - 'If Gold Was Silver, And Silver Was Gold'
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This single will be out at the end of this month as well,
and is a very different raw noise-pop sound, one that we
think you'll find quite refreshing tho!
"The guitars are jagged, the bass is liquid and the drums
are broken. My kind of record." Diskant.net
"Needless to say, noise-pop as fierce and infectious as
this bodes well for the scheduled full-length set to drop
in early 2006." Textura.org

The mighty Textura.org, an incredibly well written, and informed
webzine, has included Highpoint Lowlife as one of their topten
labels of 2005, alongside such luminary labels as City Centre
Offices, AI records, Kranky, Merck, Ghostly International, Type,
Orac, Background, and Microcosm. Needless to say, we're
exceptionally proud to be included in such good company!
Check out the article over at:

Not directly tied to Highpoint Lowlife, but i've started a
music blog over at
http://sideb0ard.blogspot.com
As usual, i'm sure i've forgotten loads of interesting stuff
i meant to say, but as the mail is getting a tad long,
I'll leave it at that..
thanks!
Highpoint Lowlife team...
