Hello! My heads all a-flutter here, just back from Glasgow sunday night from a most excellent weekend, involving a Marcia Blaine School For Girls show, supporting Modeselektor, then a lovely dinner and band meet with our upcoming superstars Fuck-off Machete!! So much to do, so i'll try and keep this newsletter a bit more brief, its already a bit overdue! Many thanks to everyone who made last weeks Not Clickable show such a success. The venue worked out absolutely lovely, great size and sound, and completely stunning sets by all artists, with an especially stand-out captivating set by Leafcutter John and Simon Bookish. Its our new monthly and we're going to be trying to top that one with the upcoming show - wednesday October 26. Headlining will be the absolutely bonkers The Phil Collins 3 - check out video of their live shows, up at www.tpc3.co.uk. Supporting them will be Our own latest noise-fest post-rockers The Mandelbrot Set, and Type records' latest output of delicate beauty, Sanso Xtro. We havent put up any Mandelbrot Set mp3s yet, but we probably should get round to that! Check out sanso-xtros site at www.sanso-xtro.co.uk So, yes - wednesday, October 26th, The Legion, London - get it in yer diaries! Releases - Bovaflux is out in the shops this monday, and has been getting ace reviews all round, we were especially pleased with the kind words in the Wire. The Village Orchestra is now available on our online shop at posteverything.com and also through Smallfish and Norman records. Its not officially due till early December, usual press gubbins and all that! randomNumber is off for pressing, and as a little teaser, we posted a three exclusive track web EP, up for free download at http://highpointlowlife.com/downloads.shtml Fuck-off Machete pressing should be due back this week, due out for last weekend in November. randomNumber is out and about quite a bit this month working up to the album releases, with shows in Sheffield with SLBC and Heart; That ones on October the 8th at the Grapes. And a most excellent lineup in his home town of Leeds alongside Kid606 and Drop The Lime on October 11th. More details at Matt's site over at : http://www.discontents.co.uk/ More scottish shows going with some Marcia projects and Izu - As part of Resfest, the mighty Stuff Records take over and curate an evening featuring Rose And Sandy and Izu live, alongside Dick Stuff + Goodhand, and Magic Daddy. It's going to be the debut Rose And Sandy live set, so its one not to miss! Thats going on Sunday the 16th Oct. Full lineup for the Resfest, plus the flyer over at : http://marciablaine.cjb.net/ We have a few other special shows lined up over the next few months, including a randomNumber London show alongside Dwayne Sodahberk, John Chantler, and a very special guest! December sees Like A Stuntman brighten our shores again, for a show at the ever esteemed Silver Rocket club, plus hopefully followed by a little Highpoint Lowlife xmas show.. many thanks, speak to you! thorsten :------------------------------:----------------------------------------: : Highpoint Lowlife Records -- indie/electronic noise since 01 ---: : http://www.highpointlowlife.com/ -------------------------------------: :------------------------------: --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
