The 12" on Narita was just some more tracks from the Chigliak album. He had a remix on the Yard 12" on Narita and there is supposed to be another 12" of new material with an Anders Ilar remix. Other than that, he bumbles around here in Minneapolis and has a monthly at the Kitty Cat Klub. If you are looking for more material, he had a ep on Parotic that came out a while ago under the name aj hunter or something like that. ..jonathan.a On 9/12/05, Neil Walsh <walsh.neil@gmail.com> wrote:

For stuff that sounds like Chigliak but isn't Adam Johnson , get the new Boy Robot album "rotten cocktails" on CCO. Similar melodic idm-tinged tracks with a solid 4/4 base. Sorta like "South of Mel" and "four square" (my 2 favs off the excellent Chigliak album) -- - Eric Sorenson - N37 17.255 W121 55.738 - http://eric.explosive.net - - Personal colo with a professional touch - http://www.explosive.net - --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I talked to Adam last winter in Minneapolis -- he'd been in Europe for a year or so and moved back, and I imagine he's doing what most of us are doing, trying to get heard in an indifferent market. I've no doubt he's made more great tracks, but getting them released is almost more difficult than making them in the first place. On 9/12/05, Eric Sorenson <eric@explosive.net> wrote:

Hello all! This week (tue.Sept. 13) at Oscillate we are pleased to be featuring a special extended DJ set by our good friend and Oscillate resident Paul Edwards. Paul has been a resident of Oscillate since our early days at See Sound Lounge andhas been an integral part of our little experiment on tuesday nights. We are both excited and a little(alot) sad about Paul's recent decision to step back from being a weekly resident at Oscillate He will use this extra time as an opportunity to focus on his own compositional work. Paul will always be a huge part of our family, and if his set at the Monolake show was any indication of what can come of this, we will all be the better for it--trust me! Anyway, this tuesday will mark Paul's last resident DJ set at Oscillate, so--- come down buy him a drink and help us thank him for being a part of our weekly romper room. ....and.... as is our habbit, we went and got kinda crazy with the booking and invited our friend Evylup (Kip Sheppard) down for a live set, as well as a presentation by local programmer and visual artist, Traiskey; who will be demonstrating an interactive visuals program that he wrote called Salvation. He starting writing the program as a music synthesizer a couple years ago and as he continued working on it, he started adding features; morphing it into it's current form---a video/visuals synthesizer. Definately a cool little program........ and he wrote the thing himself......(cool!!!!) ...here's the show copy... hope to see you on tuesday! cheers.......... Sensory Effect and the PG Series present OSCILLATE--- tuesdays at The Baltic Room---- 1207 pine st. Seattle WA 10p $3 with residents Paul Edwards, Greg Skidmore, and Electrosect tuesday Sept. 13 we are pleased to welcome: Paul Edwards (special extended DJ set) Evylup (live textured electronics) Traiskey (video installation) with live visuals by resident Shannon Palmer --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
