When I make music I don't have a narrative in mind for it. Things need
names so I search for names on the internet. My latest name generator is
names of rocks and minerals. Since it's all the names of rocks, I called
it Rock Music. It's perhaps more ambient than IDM, though there are some
beats here and there.
The unifying attribute is that I use Euclidean rhythms to create tonal
sequences. It's a form of phase music, as note patterns run in and out of
phase with each other. But it's a slipping, mutating phasing.
The most overtly 'Euclidean phase-y" track is Elaeolite, which sounds very
Steve-Reich-esque. It's also the longest track. It's pretty much one thing
all the way through, but it's constantly morphing.
