Those who have followed the works of Brian Grainger (aka Milieu, Pink Space)
since the days of Parallax will be in for nothing short of a complete shock
upon listening to this record. Gone are the nostalgic melodies, the laid
back rhythms, the steady basslines or the soft pads that have come to define
his trademark sound. Make no mistake, this record is 60 minutes of
blistering noise. Scathing, boiling, firey, malignant noise. Some will no
doubt question the validity of such a move, but one must ascertain the full
scope of what is being done here: this is not a noise album for lack of
inspiration. Rather, it is a noise album that is focused on the premise of
unmastered passion. The raw fire of creativity burns here, with no rules to
hinder its movements. It is unruly, intense and genuine sound that makes no
apologies.
