Hola!
This month has been crazy fun!
Thanks to everyone who came out for the Like A Stuntman
shows, the tour was a complete success, lots of fun had
by everyone, all our costs for van hire were covered,
and we even sold enough merch to come home with extra
funds in our pockets! You can read a wee tour diary/blog
with pics at:
http://www.like-a-stuntman.de/las_main_english.htm
- click on the tour report section.
A few days recovering and then we were off to Barcelona
for Sonar, where far too much beverages were consumed!
Big thanks to Vicent Fibla from sp.ark records for setting up
the Versus Electronics show where Fisk Industries played
their first international show!
Now - no rest for the wicked, Robi Tigrics arrived from
Budapest on saturday, and played his first show on saturday
evening along with Bovaflux and Posthuman. Poor guy, he
hadnt slept a wink from the evening before and was having
a quiet nap when we was awakened to go on stage!
MORE TOUR MADNESS:::

Tigrics starts his UK tour tonite, the 28th June - first up
is the Pool Bar in london alongside Fisk Industries, Ill
Kinski and Greypetcat. Free entry for this one, and cheap
drinks, should be a great evening, so if yer in shoreditch,
come down for a listen..
Tomorrow morning, we head off early to meet Douglas
Benford/Si-cut.db and drive up to Liverpool for a show at
the Hive club. Thursday we're back to London for a
label showcase at Smallfish Records with Tigrics and Si-cut.db.
Friday night is our big london party with Adaadat records.
Its at Bardens Boudoir and will be a punk indie-electronic
mashup with a bunch of different artists.
From HPLL, we'll have Tigrics and Bovaflux playing, Adaadat
have Miklos The Accountant Kemecsi, and we have sets from
The Doubtful Guest (Seed), FZV (AI records) and a special
appearance by The Sticks from Brighton. Should be an
excellent evening! starts at 9pm, 5pounds entrance.
Saturday we take the train up to Bristol for a Highpoint
Lowlife, Adaadat and Stuff Records label showcase at The
Cube Cinema. Its going to be an early start from 6pm with
a BBQ and local DJs before we take control of the evening
with live sets from The Marcia Blaine School For Girls,
Bovaflux, Germlin, Miklos The Accountant Kemecsi, and Tigrics.
Then finally we got a Manchester show next wednesday at
the Font Bar, again with Tigrics and Si-cut.db.
phew, be really ready for a break after that!! Oh, no, I
forgot - theres more..
Friday the 15th of July...
Fisk Industries will be playing at the next Furthur party
at the Poke. The lineup is amazing, with B12, Cursor Miner,
Exile, Unique 3 and many more. This will be part of a
London Electrics showcase, which i should go into more
detail about..
LONDON ELECTRICS..
Is a collaboration between Ai Records, Bleep.com, Expanding,
Furthur, Highpoint Lowlife, Seed, Suburb and Uncharted Audio.
This month sees the first fruits of this meeting of minds as
L.E. 01 is released, a twelve track CD featuring exclusive
material from the labels rosters. To celebrate we've roped
in Nick Luscombe from XFM whose Flo-Motion show has been a
beacon for good electronic music in the capital, and coerced
several of the collective's finest acts to play live or spin
records (or play mp3s or whatever it is kids do these days).
From flat out soundsystem bangers to more contemplatyive fare,
these artists represent the cream of the crop of emerging talent.
NEW SIGNINGS
Well, we always keep stacking on new releases to the queue,
we've updated the schedule with releases from The Mandelbrot
Set, Marshall Watson, and n.Ln, which should all be due to
appear next year, however we have one late addition
just added, which we're exceptionally pleased with - Matt
Robson, better known as randomNumber. We're looking to have
this one pressed up pretty soon, September by our estimates
and followed by a UK tour. You can catch Matt play in Leeds on
July 4th, alongside A Hawk and a Hacksaw and Birds of Delay
at The Fenton.
BOVAFLUX UPDATE
We still havent quite finished up artwork on this, but are
in the final stages.. I'm hoping by this newsletter next
month, we will have the Bovaflux album up for sale on
Posteverything.. fingers crossed!
Aiii-ght, hope to see you out at one of the shows!
