Just curious...is Marick Stawis still subbed to this list? He's been busy commiting postal fraud and ripping off all kinds of people on eBay using different IDs (minimal02 and menachem303 are the latest). He goes after idm and classic ambient styled stuff, so if you're a seller, be wise and block him. He uses a bogus hotmail account as well ("james johnson"). He claims credit card fraud and gets paypal to reverse payments after he has the stuff (usually after the seller has left feedback)- sometimes for a change of pace he claims non-delivery of items. Be suspicious of any Oak Park, MI. addresses. Normally I would never post something like this on-list, but this creep needs to be stopped. Just to keep this post in the universe of relevance, has anyone heard the new Ultra Milkmaids on Infraction? I have it, but have had no time yet to spin it. jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

While we're on the subject Jeff raised, Gil Gershman (a name I recall from the past as being associated with some dodgy dealings) has been doing something similarly annoying but possibly less venal on eBay, with what motivations I don't know. He has won a couple of my auctioned items over the last month then not paid for them. He operates under different user IDs (e.g. 'sealofseasons' and 'shockofdaylight'), but when he has won the items, he fails to contact the seller to make payment arrangements, and the ID shows up as 'no longer an registered eBay user'. I haven't actually lost anything from these failed transactions, because I can relist the unbought items, but it's bloody irritating, and eBay don't seem to have done anything about it apart from allowing FVF item relisting. So I'm not even sure if warning people can achieve anything in terms of promoting a pre-emptive strategy. Here goes anyway... alan --On 23 June 2005 16:15 +0000 therealmxyzptlk@comcast.net wrote:
