Why was his most recent album so incredibly disappointing next to his amazing previous two? No... don't ask him that, but damn... I was REALLY into the first two machine drum albums and I really couldn't get into the bidnezz. -Aaron ----- Original Message ----- From: ed c <echurch86@yahoo.com> Date: Monday, June 13, 2005 8:34 am Subject: [idm] Machinedrum

i totally agree with aaron... i loved machine drum's first two albums, but the last one, Bidnezz, i felt was terrible. it was a cliched DSPed glitchfest with no depth. the tracks nevers developed or went anywhere, it almost sounds like somebody's first attempt to make idm after getting some gear. i was confused as to where he was coming from with his last album. -kiya ----- Original Message ----- From: Aaron D Meyers <adm226@nyu.edu> To: ed c <echurch86@yahoo.com> Cc: Indigo Danelions Merrygolds <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, June 13, 2005 10:46 AM Subject: Re: [idm] Machinedrum

those not impressed by bidnezz should keep an eye out for his tstewart side project. it's quiet guitar noodling electronica with much depth and soul - xenlab On 6/13/05, kiya iamacopier babzani <denial@ix.netcom.com> wrote:

I've had about enough quiet guitar noodling electronica, but his Syndrone album last year was fantastic. I was also pretty underwhelmed by Bidnezz (never actually made it through the whole album), but then I never loved the first two Machine Drum albums. Just never jelled for me. Salmataxia, tho. Whoa. That was good shit. Much better than the first Syndrone, too. granted my level of bias on this issue probably automatically dismisses my opinion, but I didn't think Urban Biology was that great. it was to ambient for me. Bidnezz I actually liked, it was complicated but melodic. but as Eric suggested the T.Stewart ep is really good. peace, a On Monday, June 13, 2005, at 12:02PM, egyptian zombie robot <egyptianzombierobot@gmail.com> wrote:
