Hello everyone, little heads up for the UK people.. Like A Stuntman 2005 UK tour Like A Stuntman, the four piece electronic indie-rock outfit from Frankfurt, hit these shores for their first ever UK tour, leaving in their trail, a wake of disjointed pop, crunchy beats and catchy melodies! Their live performance is an explosive mix of creativity and interplay, a cacophany of clattering percussion, drawling vocals, playful casios and noise-pop guitars. Catch them at one of these dates.. TUE 31 MAY - The Engine Rooms, Brighton THU 02 JUN - Head of Steam, Newcastle upon Tyne FRI 03 JUN - Silver Rocket, London w/ Mugstar and Collapse SUN 05 JUN - Bardens, London w/ Prefuse73 and Four Tet MON 06 JUN - The Packhorse, Leeds w/ Chinese Stars TUE 07 JUN . Nice And Sleazy, Glasgow w/ Supersystem WED 08 JUN - Unpeeled @ Windmill, London w/ The Boy Least Likely To THU 09 JUN - Hinckley/Leicester Download these mp3's: http://www.highpointlowlife.com/downloads/likeastuntman_letstalkabouthorses.mp3 http://www.highpointlowlife.com/downloads/likeastuntman_homerun.mp3 "made by breaths and soft touches rather than hard strokes and strident thought, on a microphone with loose wire buzz and compliant keyboard. Like A Stuntman, you've got it just right" playlouder.com "The sound of pop music lovely battered with little hammers and re-assembled by blind men wearing thumbless mittens. One day all records will be made like this. the results are occasionally strange and often strangely stunning." Unpeeled "This sound is biological, it breathes life into dull electronica and turns it inside out-and this I certainly believe is one of those albums which will in future be seen as a redefiner-a benchmark in the history of crossover music." Thorsten, thanks! Yet again you've given me a 'heads up' on a great Glasgow gig (The Chap was your last). Went to see L.A.S last night amongst a small but friendly crowd @N&S. The band gave a really good performance, I liked their humour...music should'nt always be too serious! Purchased their LP from iTunes and have been listening all day. Would recommend their blend of indie guitar and synth/beats to everyone on the list. Thanks again, Jon On Friday, May 20, 2005, at 11:23AM, thorsten Sideb0ard <thorsten@highpointlowlife.com> wrote:

cheers! thats excellent you went along! We had a lot of fun in Glasgow and the rest of the tour has been going excellent also. They have a tour diary up at: http://www.like-a-stuntman.de/las_main_english.htm click on 'tour report' at the bottom. Theres a couple of photos from setting up at sleazys, but mostly on the road and peoples houses. thanks! thorsten ps. still two shows left, if anyone on the list lives in Amsterdam or Luneburg.. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
