"Seriously though, my initial reaction to the new Ae was similarly negative, but after five or so concerted listens my sense of it began to cohere into something challenging and remarkable." I'm sure i speak for many people when i say that most of their albums become more and more revealing the more and more you listen to them. But what i'm starting to question, and this based on some of their sparse interviews, is - Do they really create their music with the same level of complexity that we tend to analyze it? Is as cryptic and thought out as we think it is or is it just spontaneous musical creations that just take longer for us to memorize than your typical verse, chorus, verse? What we perceive as something that is intricately crafted may be just random, accidental, happenstance. It's just a thought. Without question their music is probably some of the most thought out work i've ever heard, but mabye it just comes easier to them than most other musicians. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
