I would say yes. I'm already liking this stuff quite a bit. I hate ranking and rating releases, but this is their best album in quite some time. I love Confield and like Daft 7.30, but this is a lot better than both. It's tough comparing it to earlier stuff since they really seem to be different types of efforts -- and I listen to them for different reasons. But yes, in short, the album is shaping up to be pretty awesome. If you're a big fan of their work, you'll love it. If you're one of those "I love the old stuff, the new stuff is shit," you might enjoy bits and pieces of the release but overall, it might be disappointing. In no way is this a regression back to the pre LP5 days.
