Where were you April 2004 when Squarepusher, Cassetteboy, and DJ Rubbish came to the Black Cat? There were a LOT of people there but still I don't think it was quite sold out. Fantastic show. Never mind that Pixies played DC _TWICE_ on their reunion tour. (Does anyone remember that band? ;D) I don't even keep up with DC events that well, being from Baltimore and also being none too keen on setting foot inside the Imperial City limits. At any rate, if you fancy some hiphop with an idm twist, check out: Dalek, Bow and Arrow, plus guests Tuesday February 15, 8 PM Ottobar, Baltimore, MD (http://www.theottobar.com) and then in March: Subtle (Lex Records) featuring Anticon's Doseone, Hrvatski and guests Sunday March 6, 8 PM Ottobar, Baltimore, MD (http://www.theottobar.com) ...and don't say Bmore never did anything for D(evious) C(rackheads). And for anyone that lives anywhere between Baltimore and Richmond, I highly recommend signing up to this list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bmorexperimental/ They have a lot of events listed that I never see advertised anywhere else. On Feb 2, 2005, at 8:18 AM, terrahertz_og wrote:

There's definitely some peeps around town (DC) that are always putting on small shows of most experimental stuff, but its really hit or miss, mostly miss. I just left that fuckin city after 23 years...don't miss it at all. And yeah, the Squarepusher show at the Black Cat was great. Very hypnotic...in a loud, bludgeoning sort of way. Must of been the lights... Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com

Yeah, the squarepusher show was awesome, especially when he was playing c-town smash. His hands are out of this world. I was proud to say that i got hit with an inflatible bat by cassetteboy but dj rubbish was just really funny and not that good. I tried to get tickets to the pixies but both shows were sold out within 2 weeks. We in DC might be crackheads but at least we are the nations biggest users of Heroin. terrahertz_og <terrahertz_og@yahoo.com> wrote:Where were you April 2004 when Squarepusher, Cassetteboy, and DJ Rubbish came to the Black Cat?
