[Highpoint Lowlife News - Feb 2005]
Lots of great stuff this month!
[LIVE]
ISAN w/ Bovaflux, Fisk Industries and e.g.0
Way back in the day (well our heady origin of 2001!) when
we were first running our :Node club in San Francisco, every
tuesday you could be guaranteed hearing at least one track
from ISAN, who seemed to personify our indie-electronic
crossover tendencies. Big fans for years now, we're all
very excited to be hosting a show for these pioneers, and
to present them in one of the most low-key, intimate London
venues around...
Check out ISAN on thursday, the 17th of February at the
Horse Hospital in London, supported by two of our rising
stars, Bovaflux and Fisk Industries, and opening act
e.g.0 of [no-signal] promotions, who we are hosting the
event with.
Check out the rather lovely hand-drawn flyer for the event
at our website:
http://www.highpointlowlife.com - done
by no other than Galia Durant, one half of Psapp, who
are actually on ISAN's own label, Arable.

[RELEASES]
Some Paths Lead Back Again -

At last.. no longer vaporware!!
Its here, and wow... even better than i could have imagined!
Go here for a quick swatch of the cover and tracklisting:
http://www.posteverything.com/artists/release.php?id=9186
Where to start?? 21 tracks by 10 artists, made up of various
Marcia related projects, collabs, and friends - from
Production Unit, The Village Orchestra, Accrual, Chris Dooks,
Izu and newcomers Feld, Tersh Jetterax, and Daigoro. Plus three
quicktime movies on the second disc.
Its housed in double-disc digipack, with specially
commissioned artwork by Pamela Henderson
(www.pamelahenderson.com), and designed by our Mathieu Ranson
aka Fisk Industries.
Pre-release copies may be purchased online at posteverything.com
or via Smallfish records, who say:
"Showcasing many a hybrid of contemporary electronica,
the Marcia Blaine School For Girls bring us this superb
compilation on Thorsten Sideb0ard's acclaimed Highpoint
Lowlife label. The likes of Izu, Daigoro, The Village
Orchestra, Feld, Chris Dooks, Rose And Sandy, the wonderfully
named Tersh Jetterax (Check out his equally brilliantly
titled "Battle Of The Chubby Men") and the MBSFG themselves
contribute dark beats, experimental soundscapes, light
atmospherics, more melodic numbers - It's all here, including
three videos on the second disc. Definitely worth acquiring."
