Who recommended The Dead Texan? I could fucking kiss you! It's great! Ambient guitar... the slide towards the end just pushes it over the cliff into "Chill Out"-like greatness. It's like KLF and Explosions in the Sky, minus the bombast. That would possibly be me, Himey. Listed one of their songs on my Best of 2004 list. But yeah - the whole album is wonderful to chill to. ~ a on 1/9/05 2:49 AM, Andrew Hime at hime@charter.net wrote:

Andrew, Just an FYI, but since you really dig the Dead Texan, I'd recommend Stars of the Lid material which is also on the Kranky Label. Dead Texan = SoTL, pretty much. SoTL's "Tired Sounds..." album is more like Dead Texan than the Avec Laudenum release. Another note, you may want to join the Ambient Airlines announcement list. I'll be blowing out some stock mid-month and SoTL is in there. peace .c. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
